Chenyang Bi is a Senior Scientist at Aerodyne Research, Inc., studying the emission and evolution of semivolatile organic compounds across indoor and outdoor environments and their impacts on climate and health.

The emission, transport, and transformation of SVOCs influence environmental quality and public health across spatial scales. At the building scale, thousands of compounds are released from consumer products into indoor air. After moving outdoors, they can fuel secondary organic aerosol formation, and dry and wet deposition carry them into soils, plants and water.
